"The four Seals had landed in a trap"
US Navy Seals' Afghan disaster
An interesting article that says very little on how so many Navy Seals died, yet goes in depth about how poorly the U.S. is doing in Afghanistan. Maybe it's just my interpretation, but coming from the BBC I doubt I'm that far off.

Your "intersting Article" link is bad. Just to let you know since I'm linking you.
6:05 AMShould be back up now. Thanks Mrs. G!
6:48 AMJust a note of caution, Andrew North of the BBC is in many ways, "Reporter Darkcloud" in the way he reports.
Though a relatively solid reporter, he tends to find the dark side of any news cycle and is a firm believer of "if it bleeds it leads."
You can read his stuff here:

He doesn't make stuff up out of whole cloth, but it is hard to find a positive story from him. There is a lot of positive stuff in Afghanistan, and you can get a snippit from him now and then, but he quickly goes back to the tabliod-like drama writing.
He is a good reporter, but he writes for his boss and readers.
From everyone I know on the deck there, things are not as bad as they would seem if you relied on Mr. North. There will be setbacks, there always are, but the march on the whole is in the right direction.
