The 'Other' Generals

You can't handle the truth General! We run the show around here, so shut up and listen to us.

Holy crap... how did we ever come to this? Whatever happened to the Chain of Command?
I think we all felt like crap watching General Petraeus being used as a political tool by the 'Other Generals' schlepping for campaign funds and air time.
Way to go with the morale booster there, Congress.

There is a reason why Congress' approval ratings are LOWER than the President's.

Tony,

I just read your last 3 posts.

It's too bad that the story of the senior Iraqi officers meeting with the airman in the wheelchair was not covered by the MSM. Then again they would probably have no interest in such a story as death and despair gets them more ratings. Now that I think about it, even if they did cover it, they would have probably lied and re-wrote the exchange of dialogue to make it an angry confrontation.

So, you've finally out-ed yourself huh? I thought it was sort of cool using an alias in a "superhero" kind of way. If you don't mind, I'll continue using mine. I'm kind of attached to the only callsign I have ever been given.

As for Gen Petreus, does anyone really think he would get a fair shake? He's damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. If he keeps fighting, he is manical murderer, if he retreats, he is a coward. But hey, if wanted to be an armchair general, he wouldn't be a real one.
