Barbie's Gone Jihad?
I thought Barbie was supposed to be this head-strong, educated, progressive type of woman who was independent and took charge of her life.
Not this...
I'd hate to see what the 'Bratz' dolls look like out there.

I would figure it's sort of hard to market Barbie as she's marketed in the States in a Muslim country since their perception of women in society is so very different...

Mauser*girl, you're right. I was shooting for the idea that Barbie was supposed to represent the modern woman, but that idea in itself is screwed up. Barbie represents capitalism at it's finest. Make a piece of plastic with boobs the favorite toy of every money-paying girl on the planet. Come to think of it, isn't that how we won the Cold War?
