Coolest.Dad.Ever.

Working with my daughter on a history assignment. She's learning about King Tut and Ancient Egypt. Half way through the lesson I came up with a better way to teach her about who King Tut was and how the Ancient Egyptians dressed and danced. I played her this clip from Saturday Night Live.

"How'd you get so funky? They said you do the monkey"

Ahhh, the Internet. Making history fun, and destroying it all at the same time. I need to quit my day job. I'm having too much fun at home with the kidlings.

Steve Martin teaching tools! Classic! I like to help my daughter with her school work (she's only 7) and it actually surprised me that it would be so rewarding. I honestly didn't think that I had the patience to help teach a child how to read....uh, because I already know how. Nonetheless, the Steve Martin gig is in the memory banks for future "learning opportunitis". Maybe I can dig up "Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood" to see if she can say b*tch! Probably wouldn't go over to well though...

I'm not too sure that's very helpful for her history homework. *GRIN* But then again, I hear there are teachers out there who still believe the Vikings had horns on their helmets...
