Once Again... This Is What a Timetable Looks Like
Posted this once before back when people were crying for a timetable or date of when the U.S. would pull out of Iraq. I think it's time for a friendly reminder as to what announcing a timetable causes.
Chaos.
Now, back to work.

Why is it that so many lack a gene for common sense?
2:04 PMWhat a perfect illustration. Perfect. It does seem that some want another Vietnam no matter the cost.
And it's not the persons fighting.
Personally, though, I began to see the light (event wise, not time wise) at the end of the tunnel a few months ago. I think some saw it too, and want to make sure that they get the credit for our leaving.
Don't forget to show the exit plan pictures for Germany, Japan and Italy! Don't forget about those countries, and the chaos that ensued as we "left" there!
6:56 PMMust...blog...now...! And it's not the persons fighting. Or even some of "the old warriors" evidently - specifically some have a plan to re-enact this...
12:27 PMThat is actually a very poor example as the circumstances are nothing like Iraq. What caused that line on top of the embassy was planned invasion, where the US reneged on a commitment to provide aid and air power to Vietnam. That occurred because Congress had emasculated the President on the subject due to the President frittering away his moral authority on the subject.
Hmmm........maybe it is like Vietnam after all. Over ambitious goals, Unpopular President, micromanaging SECDEF, weary public opinion, failure to use overwhelming force from the start and level everything in our path........yea maybe it is like Vietnam.
Iraq is not like Vietnam, but we'd have a Vietnam-like chaotic pull out if we set a time table and let Congress dictate when and how we left. Chaos... something Congress is great at creating.
