Whatever Happened To 'Good News From Iraq?
If you remember, Arthur Chrenkoff had a bi-monthly 'Good News From Iraq' and Afghanistan series. It seems as though the replacement series that promised to continue this outstanding effort started by Chrenkoff has floundered. If I'm wrong please let me know, but as far as I can tell nothing has come of it.
So the obvious question is what now? Other than CENTCOM, who's going to spread the good word about what our troops are doing that is helping the war effort?

How about Micael Yon? He's with Deuce Four, but he's damn good.
9:46 AMYeah, Yon is a great writer. I swear, every article he writes, I get the feeling that I am there standing right next to him. I think he is in the U.S. right now...is he heading back over to Iraq?
12:52 PMDid CENTCOM email you, too? :P
5:31 PMChrenkoff started another job...and it would have appeared that he would have to quit blogging to resolve what seemed to me might be a conflict of interest with his new employer. At least that is the feeling I got from his last few posts.
9:53 AMYon is good, but he doesn't do the homework that Chrenkoff did. Michael Yon does on the ground reporting, which is outstanding. Chrenkoff gathered everything positive released, organized it, and made it accessable. I miss that stuff.
AC, or Chrenkoff, signed off due to his job back in September. He thought he had left his 'Good News' project in good hands, but nothing came of it. Probably because a team tried to do it together, whereas it's probably something better suited for one person.
I might just give it a shot over the weekend.
Your Warrior's Voice link under the Marine section is apparently a different blog than what had apparently been Warrior's Voice and it's CREEPY. You might want to delete the link.
It's about a gay man's sex life and his troubles with being queer... Not kidding. It's scary.
Dude, that's the second link I've found to have changed into a porn site. That's scary.
Thanks for the heads up!
There are lots of soldiers blogs out there that report the truth as opposed to the BBC style Islamospin. I post what bits I get sent from various people myself.
Like the blog, cool read
