The Police

All I can say is, 'It's About Freak'n Time.' Thank you for getting back together.

I was talking to a friend at work about the show, and she said they just looked like a bunch of old guys playing instruments. They may be an old band, but damnit... they're my old band!

Okay, yes I do have all their albums.

And Sting's solo albums.

Thank God you admitted it so I don't feel like an crotchety old codger alone now.

This one time, when I was stationed at Scott in Illinois? I saw that one of my all-time favorites, Fear, was playing in St Louis.... I borrowed a car and went to the gig with a friend of mine....

We were TOTALLY making fun of the old guys in the club that were hitting on chicks and slamming, talking about how we'd NEVER be caught DEAD going to a hard core show when we were, like, THIRTY and shit.

Then the old guys got on the stage. They WERE the band.

I felt like such a loser. And now I'm old, too!

Jeez...The Police make the The Stones look absolutely fossilzed - or was it the drugs that did that???
