Someone Call Please Call Air Force Public Relations About the New ABU

Of all the freak'n names to call the new Air Force uniform, why in God's green earth would the Air Force call it the ABU? Sure it stands for the Airman Battle Uniform, but haven't these guys been watching the news lately? Helllooooo.... remember Abu Graib?
How about the fact that we're fighting Middle Eastern Terrorists.... also known as Abu. I can see where this is going. The minute we start showing up in these Abu pajamas the Army and Marines are going to start referring to us as the Abu force. Even worse, the T-Shirt underneath has 'Air Force' in big black letters on the back. Might as well just have it say 'Kick Me'.
Why couldn't we have just gone with the new Army uniform? Instead, we get this....

Hey Abu, where's Johnny Quest?

Ooooo, we're invisible... you can't see us when we're hiding in our cubicles.

At least it is not those French looking blue things they were testing for a while.

You know, the Battle Smurf Uniform.

Battle Smurf? Oh, you mean the Poke Mon outfits. Forgot about those.

These ABUs aren't far from those. I still can't believe we're going to them.

Wish they'd provide a bag to cover our faces.

Actually it looks very much like the tiger stripe fatigues used by Special Forces and LRRPs during Viet Nam.

Shouldn't the USAF be wearing gray uniforms to match runways. Or green to match golf courses.

Yeah, I was curious about the amount of collaboration on the ABU thing. Of course, a few years ago, I thought to really get the media going Operation IRAQI FREEDOM (OIF) should have been Operation IRAQI LIBERATION (OIL).... Do you think it's a bit much? hehe

Eh, they don't look too bad to me...then again I don't have to wear 'em. When you get them you'll have to model them for us.

Do you usually wear BDUs daily?
