Observation of the Week
Why do we have Drive-up ATMs that have Braille markings on the keys? I'm all for equal access, but isn't that just a recipe for disaster?

My kids have asked me that question several times. I wish I had an answer!
10:46 AMThe other thing I don't understand are the signs at fast food restaurants which state the restaurant has Braille menus available...how would a person who needs a Braille menu KNOW that since if they could read the sign telling them about the alternate menu, they wouldn't need the alternate menu??!?!?!
7:48 PMHere's your answer to the ATM dilemma: it's the same type of machine that would otherwise be placed indoors - UNLESS!!! you live in Florida, then it is intended for blind motorists!!!
10:46 PMI assumed they had braille because the machines were the same as the regular indoor machines, but it's the idea of it all. I can see some sight-challenged guy walking up to use it, getting hit, then hiring a lawyer.
That gives me a great idea...
