Oklahoma City Memorial

This was my first trip to Oklahoma City, and my first opportunity to see the Memorial.

Two words - Tragic, yet Inspiring.

Try to make it down there some day if you get the chance.

We visited on our last PCS. The kids still remember it, which says a lot about how well done and moving it was.

My MEPS was the one in Oklahoma City so I visited it on one of my trips to MEPS. Then I took my wife to it when I last visited MEPS to swear in.

The part I found eerie was the 9:01 gate. There was a rumbling noise and to me it sounded like a truck idling. I think it was the pumps for the reflecting pool but it made me jump a little when I walked through it.
