Paris Released? Sharpton is right on this one.

From Drudge: SHARPTON BLASTS JUSTICE SYSTEM

Thu Jun 07 2007 11:45:47 ETReverend Al Sharpton, President of National Action Network, and one of the country's foremost leaders for civil rights, is blasting the justice system for what appears to be favoritism in the early release of Paris Hilton.

"Though I have nothing but empathy for Ms. Hilton whom I have met and appeared with on Saturday Night Live the night I hosted in 2003, this early release gives all of the appearances of economic and racial favoritism that is constantly cited by poor people and people of color. There are any number of cases of people who handle being incarcerated badly and even have health conditions that are not released.

"Take me home, country road..."

I'm shocked to say that I agree with Sharpton on this one. Money can indeed buy you favoritism. All Los Angeles did is stoke the fire on this one. That, and they gave that no-talent duechebag another notch on her bed post of things she's been able to get away with thanks to Daddy's money.

I think it's time for us poor white folk to riot in the streets of Beverly Hills!

Rise Up my Bruthas and Sistas!

I am going to have to admit that I agree with Sharpton on this one as well.

This has all the signs of money talking.

Well, that's 3 of us agreeing with Sharpton. I'm appalled at the situation and shocked that I agree. Ya think the world is gonna end?

Ooh, but she's back in the slammer now!

Crying like a baby, too. Andi at andisworld has done a couple of really good posts showing quotes from Paris and quotes from people downrange about their respective situations.

My sympathy cup for Ms. Hilton is not only dry, it's sucking all the moisture out of the air, too.
